Multiple Order Waveplate — 17.5 mm
Tower's multiple-order waveplate is a single plate of laser-quality crystal quartz. Because its retardation is the desired fraction (λ/4 or λ/2) plus an integer number of waves, it is many times more sensitive to temperature and wavelength than a zero-order plate — so it performs best in stable, monochromatic lab environments. AR-coated on both faces, unmounted or in an anodized ring. Can be sliced and diced down to 1 mm. High Laser Damage (HLD) versions are available across the multiple-order program as well, and standard stock runs from 10 to 50.8 mm diameters in 248–2020 nm.
